Strange noise, the wicked sound
Its voice penetrates all around
Knocking on the ground in daze
Bringing to found on fear and craze

When the bell strikes for midnight
Old man is here, his eyes are tight
In the wooden staff waylays a blade
For moment of death to strike out of the shade

Omen he brings to the sinners in the dark
To hand over to them the sign of black mark
Only they can see the Raven’s shadow
Only the black mark gives them to know
That Veles awaits them in Halls of Hell
The warner of their curse is here to tell
Follow the ancient man on his path
Follow him through the hour of death

Don’t look in raven’s eyes to lose the mind
Take a walk after the man who is blind

Among the realm of the shades
He guards all sins that evil creates

Veles wants his mind to tame
So he would find Perun’s secret name
He owns the way away from wrath

Admit the sins or be condemned to hell

Raven that followed me day after day

Triglav arrived too late for me
